President of the Executive Committee visits APU headquarters
The President of the Executive Committee of the African Parliamentary Union (APU), His Excellency Mr. Jean-Michel SAMA LUKONDE KYENGE, President of the Senate of the Democratic Republic of Congo, is paying a working visit to the organisation's headquarters in Abidjan from 5 to 7 February.
During his stay in Abidjan, the President is scheduled to hold courtesy meetings with his counterparts from the Senate and National Assembly of Côte d'Ivoire, respectively.
The highlight of his trip to Abidjan will be the presentation of a press statement on the 50th anniversary of the APU, which will be celebrated on 13 February.
The President of the Executive Committee, His Excellency Mr. Jean-Michel SAMA LUKONDE KYENGE, was elected during the 47th APU Conference, held from 21 to 22 November 2025 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
