The Parliament of Togo to host the 86th Session and the 48th Conference of the APU
African parliaments strengthen parliamentary cooperation in Lomé.
The Parliament of Togo will host the 86th Session of the Executive Committee and the 48th Conference of the African Parliamentary Union (APU) in Lomé from 9 to 14 November 2026. The proceedings will take place at the Hôtel 2 Février.
The relevant Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Wednesday 9 September 2026 between the Speaker of the National Assembly of Togo, H.E. Professor Semi Kelom KLASSOU, and the Secretary-General of the UPA, Mr IDI GADO Boubacar.
As a reminder, the 85th Session of the Executive Committee was held in June this year in Dakar, Senegal. The 84th Session and the 47th Conference took place in November 2025 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The APU comprises 41 African parliaments.
