The Chairperson of the African Group receives the Secretary General of the APU in audience
The Speaker of the Parliament of Ghana and Chairperson of the African Geopolitical Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), His Excellency Mr Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, received the Secretary General of the African Parliamentary Union (APU) and Coordinator of the African Geopolitical Group, Mr IDI GADO Boubacar, in audience on 14 January 2026 at the Ghanaian Parliament in Accra.
The purpose of this working visit was to discuss the functioning of the Group and to prepare for its upcoming meetings during the Inter-Parliamentary Union Assemblies scheduled for April and October 2026.
The African Parliamentary Union plays a central role in the IPU Assemblies, notably by providing the Secretariat for the African Geopolitical Group.
