Brief biography of the new Chair of the Committee of Women Parliamentarians

Foudda Arada Izzedine was born on 1 January 1986 in Bokoro (Chad). Passionate about doing a good job, she has developed expertise in public administration management over the years. She holds a Master II in Public Administration Management from the National School of Administration (ENA) in Chad, and another Master II in Financial Management.

After obtaining her degrees, she began her career in development projects, then joined the public administration, where she held several positions as Chief of Staff in the following ministries: Ministry of Microcredit, Ministry of Finance and Budget, Ministry of Infrastructure and Accessibility. She was then appointed Advisor to the Court of Auditors. She held the position of Inspector at the Ministry of Women, Social Action and Early Childhood Protection.

She joined parliament as a National Transition Councillor for Chad.

Today, she is an elected Member of the National Assembly of Chad and a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.

At the 47th Conference of the African Parliamentary Union, held in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the honourable Foudda Arada Izzedine was elected Chair of the Committee of Women Parliamentarians for a two-year term.
